Eat the Rich (Oh, you gotta read this)

By Walter E. Williams (Archive) Wednesday, April 13, 2011 I've often said that I wish there were some humane way to get rid of the rich. If you asked why, I'd answer that getting rid of the rich would save us from distraction by leftist hustlers promoting the politics of envy. Not having the rich to fret over might enable us to better focus our energies on what's in the best interest of the 99.99 percent of the rest of us. Let's look at some facts about the rich laid out by Bill Whittle citing statistics on his RealClearPolitics...

Dallas Wiens, 26, of Texas, who had previously come to terms with a vastly deformative injury which virtually erased his face, expressed gratitude to the family of his new face's donor and doctors remarked on his transformation as he made his first public appearance after becoming the first recipient of a full facial transplant in the United States. Fighting government intrusion into our lives is becoming increasingly difficult for at least two reasons. As our president continues to degrade American military capabilities, the troop supporters of Free Republic continue to show up every Friday evening at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in northwest Washington DC. Our objectives are twofold: 1) Show support for the troops by displaying the American flag and those of military units, as well as patriotic flags 2) Keep the hate-America crowd of Code Pinkos away from the main entrance of the hospital. As with last week, the weather this Friday...

In 1989, Cronkite spoke to a dinner organized by People for the American Way... In 1999, he appeared at the United Nations to accept the Norman Cousins Global Governance Award from the World Federalists Association. He told those assembled, including Hillary Rodham Clinton, that the first step toward achieving a one-world government his personal dream is to strengthen the United Nations...as a first step toward a world government patterned after our own government with a legislature, executive and judiciary, and police to enforce its international laws and keep the peace," he said. "To do that, of course, we...
